The Foundation will develop the Governance Leadership Institute (GLI) program and curriculum including a resource manual, high quality group training sessions, individual counseling and a resource group of respected community leaders.
The Foundation will provide each organization with a means of evaluating its existing governance practices that allow the organization to establish its own goals and implementation strategy. GLI will provide individualized evaluation tools for an organization to use to measure progress toward its strategic goals.
Through GLI, the Foundation will provide each organization with in-kind services – consulting, training, materials and resources – valued at more than $6,500 over the two-year program. The Foundation’s investment of $6,500 in each organization is a value that would be hard for an organization to replicate individually. The Foundation will secure funding for GLI in partnership with Wexner Heritage Program alumni and other donors.
In the spirit of continuous learning, the Foundation will participate in all aspects of the GLI program as a learning organization itself.
The Foundation will operate confidentially and respectfully and will sign an agreement affirming these responsibilities with each participating organization.
