Your gift to the Jewish Community Foundation supports many programs, including these:

• The Endowment Leadership Institute, a groundbreaking program that helps the entire Jewish community build bequests and develop endowments for the future. To date, an estimated $142 million has been secured from more than 510 families for 35 Jewish causes and 20 secular organizations. As the central resource for philanthropy, endowments and planned giving in the Jewish community, the JCF is giving organizations and synagogues the capacity and skills they need to build a strong future.
  
  
• Legacy Planning for the Community: JCF staff meets individually with scores of prospective donors each year to confidentially discuss their estate plans and help them create a legacy for the community. Those who have promised to leave a legacy for the Jewish community of any amount can write a statement about why they have decided to do so and inscribe their names in the Book of Life, a permanent community archive. In addition, the JCF works with accountants, estate planning attorneys and financial planners to provide cutting-edge charitable planning information so they can better serve their clients.
  
  
• The Community Youth Foundation engages 13-15 year olds in a program of philanthropy education, site visits and grant-making. In 10 years 300 young people have participated in camps and programs with far-reaching results for our community.
  
  
• The Jewish Women’s Foundation convenes women in a venture philanthropy model to address the needs of Jewish women and girls in San Diego, Israel and around the world.
  
  
• The Community Grants Program provides funding and technical support to innovative, high-quality programs throughout the county.
