Youth Donor Advised Funds
Youth Donor Advised Funds allow young people to be effective givers by empowering them with tools needed to be strategic in their decision making. A teenager can establish a fund in their own name and family and friends can contribute to the fund as a gift for a bar/bat mitzvah, birthday or other special occasions. The teen, who is the "fund advisor," can then make grants from the fund to many different charities, at the time that is preferred for them.
Jewish Community Foundation staff will guide teens to identify causes, organizations, and programs of interest, arrange site visits and coordinate volunteer projects as desired.
